Nama Water Services Expands Fleet with Electric Vehicles in Support of Environmental Sustainability
Muscat – In line with its steadfast commitment to advancing environmental sustainability and reducing carbon emissions, Nama Water Services has expanded its operational fleet with a number of electric vehicles. This strategic move comes as part of the company’s ongoing efforts to support Oman’s national sustainability agenda and contribute to achieving carbon neutrality by 2050.
Nama Water Services emphasized that the integration of electric vehicles into its fleet marks a significant milestone in boosting operational efficiency and reducing reliance on traditional fuel. The initiative not only generates economic savings on fuel consumption but also actively contributes to lowering harmful emissions, thereby supporting a healthier environment.
To ensure the success of this transition, the company has also established a comprehensive charging infrastructure across its various sites, enabling continuous and efficient operation of its electric vehicles. Future plans are already in place to further expand the use of electric mobility within the company, aligning with its broader vision of green transformation.
This initiative complements Nama Water Services’ previous programs and projects in renewable energy, including the deployment of solar and wind energy solutions at several of its facilities, particularly in Al Wusta and Al Dhahirah governorates. By continuously adopting innovative and eco-friendly technologies, the company reinforces its role as a key partner in driving Oman’s green economy and safeguarding natural resources for future generations.
